Independent and Unbiased Ball Selection

GolfBallSelector.com is a member-supported / advertisement-free service. We conduct independent and rigorous testing of golf balls and are brand-agnostic when it comes to recommendations for each specific member.

In choosing the right golf ball, we believe that golfers should look for a ball that is right for their unique game – and consider trading off objectives such as driver distance, sand wedge spin and feel on and around the green. Golf balls will perform differently for different types of golfers given the golfer’s swing type and their own unique mix of ball speed launch angle and ability to spin and control the golf ball. GBT Technologies Annouces Crowdfunding Campaign

May 2, 2014 – GBT Technologies, LLC, developer of GolfBallSelector.com and GolfBallTest.org, recently announced their new crowdfunding campaign on the popular Indiegogo platform. The purpose of the campaign is to raise funding for a new consumer-centric platform for choosing the right golf ball: GolfBallAdvisor.com. We will apply and combine funds to acquire and set up a new robotic testing facility, build out the premier golf ball performance rating system – and to independently certify golf balls based on different types of performance, such as distance, control/spin, feel and value-for-money.

You can help make this happen by contributing to the campaign below. A variety of funding options and perks are available to choose from to support the campaign. We appreciate your interest and continued support.

Callaway Speed Regime Golf Balls

January 13, 2014 (from Press Release) – Carlsbad, CA. — Callaway Golf Company recently introduced a series of Tour-level golf balls specifically designed for more distance and peak performance based on a golfer’s swing speed. The series is called Speed Regime and there will be three offerings:

  • SR 1: optimized for swing speeds 90 mph and below
  • SR 2: optimized for swing speeds between 90 and 105 mph
  • SR 3: optimized for swing speeds of 105 mph and above

Golfers that swing a club 89 mph benefit from different ball performance characteristics than golfers that swing a club at 106 mph, for example. With Speed Regime, a unique HEX Aerodynamics profile and overall construction of each golf ball maximizes its performance based on what each swing speed range needs to achieve the most distance and the best performance.

For more information on the new Speed Regime golf balls which will be available at golf retailers nationwide on January 24, 2014, visit Callaway’s website at www.callawaygolf.com.
