February 28, 2008 – E. Michael Johnson of GolfWorld writes an article on golf ball compression indicating that compression is not relevant to consumers these days as it has been in the past. The article goes on to say that today some manufacturers use compression to predict performance while others use it to achieve a certain feel in a ball.
